Weaving a Pouch
Learn the fundamentals of weaving and create a small, useful pouch in this all-levels class. Students will create a small loom using household materials and will use basic weaving techniques to make a bag with a flap closure. We will learn skills that can be easily transferred to other weaving projects. All materials are provided. Registration opens on Friday, Feb. 28. Register here.

Weaving on a Handmade Loom
The art of weaving has existed for many thousands of years and is used for decorative and practical purposes. Weaving is not only an art but a survival skill! In this beginner class, students will learn foundational weaving skills and will create their own small woven wall hangings to take home. Students will create cardboard looms and learn techniques including warping the loom, tabby stitch, soumak, rya knots, and finishing methods. No weaving experience is necessary. Ages 13+.
