Put your unique stamp on fabric with relief printmaking! In this workshop you will design and carve your own small linoleum block to print on textiles. You will explore mark making and positive and negative space to create effective designs that can be used as stand alone or repeat patterns. You will learn the tools, process, materials, and safe practices used in linocut printmaking and apply them to fabric. You will carve a single reusable block and have multiple colors of ink to work with. Super G will provide one bandana for each student. You are encouraged to bring your own fabric, including t-shirts, tote bags, tea towels, or onesies … as long as it is pre-washed cotton or linen, you can print on it! We will use color fast, easy-to-clean water soluble inks and apply pressure by hand. All other materials are provided. You will take home your carved block, printed fabric, and the skills to continue creating on your own. Open to all skill levels. Register here.
